Miami-Dade Male Youth Participate in a Dynamic Leadership Conference

On Friday, April 29, 2011, more than 75 male students, guests and staff participated in the "2011 Young Muchachos Conference: Empowering Young Men to Build Our Future" which took place at Brown Mackie College

The Conference started off to a strong start with a dynamic keynote address by Mr. William A. Ramos, Director of Intergovernmental Affairs, Office of the Secretary, U.S Department of Commerce. Mr. Ramos motivated the students to stay in school, graduate and move on to post-secondary education. He challenged each young man to not let their circumstances determine their future, but rather determine their own future for themselves.
