ASPIRA of Florida

Development Department

Securing the growth and success of our services

Welcome to the ASPIRA of Florida, Inc. Research and Development Department.  Our department is responsible for the development of our Youth Leadership Charter Schools, Development Divisions, and Adult Education Center by soliciting and obtaining necessary funding for operations and growth. Funding procurement is always sought with our mission in mind, which is to empower the Puerto Rican and Latino community through advocacy and the education and leadership development of its youth.”

Our departmental goals and objectives are the basis of successful operations:

  • To secure agency funding through traditional and innovative methods
  • To create and maintain a “grant getting system” of efficiency and uniformity to the funding proposal process via comprehensive organizational files
  • To submit regular reports, accomplishments, and statistical data on ASPIRA’s impact on the communities it serves as well as current, relevant issues on topics directly related to the growth and sustainability of the agency
  • To represent ASPIRA in the capacity of research and development by establishing agency access to all funding sources being procured and received
  • To demonstrate a commitment to personal and professional development by participating in staff development activities and establishing formal goals and plans for continued growth and development

Grantsmanship research and development are a primary function of our department and are considered a critical component in agency survival and growth. ASPIRA of Florida’s success in its formative years was due to our comprehensive effort to scan the availability of grants, inform potential funders of the importance and impact of our services, and conduct the necessary follow-up and tracking to insure meaningful funding opportunities. Thanks in part to the reorganization of the Research and Development Department, ASPIRA of Florida has been able to continue operating successful youth development programs from Homestead to Palm Beach despite the blow we and many other community organizations received during the recent multi-year recession

We sincerely hope that you will support our quality services for youth and families in need throughout South Florida. Please contact our team with ideas for promoting the development of our organization or to learn how to become a donor.
